6th Grade Band is off and running! This year's band includes 1 flute, 3 clarinets, 4 trumpets, 5 alto saxophones, 2 trombones, and 4 percussionists. (a baritone player will join us at quarter)
Band members have been working hard reviewing vocabulary and notes learned in 5th grade. We have had our first playing test of the year on our Concert B-flat scale. Students not only had to learn the scale but also memorize it!
We will be having our first ever auditions for chairs this week and that always brings new experiences.
The band will be preparing to play their first concert of the year on Tuesday, October 27 at 7:30 in the high school gym.

The 6th Grade Band is doing a great job this year! We are very small in numbers but mighty in playing ability! I am so proud of their progress this year! Due to the numbers being low, each person gets much more individual attention and it is
like having private lessons each day! Keep up the Good Work. These pictures are from our first performance this year!
